Este artículo examina el ascenso de la UE en la política internacional. Analiza cómo la UE utiliza la proporcionalidad, la subsidiariedad y la atribución para maximizar su influencia global a través de su arquitectura organizacional y distribución de poder. Se utilizan teorías de interdependencia compleja y poder blando para comprender el impacto de la UE en la gobernanza global. La UE desempeña un papel principal en el establecimiento de normas y políticas internacionales, demostrando su capacidad para influir en las dinámicas globales a pesar de las diferencias internas que podrían impedir su consolidación como superpotencia.
