1. Introduction
Welcome to the International Political Magazine! This document will guide the authors through the process of sending and publishing our journal, taking into account the guidelines established by the American Psychological Association (APA) in its seventh edition (in English) and fourth edition (in Spanish).
The International Political Magazine focuses on international relations and Peruvian foreign policy; our publications allow for the sharing of objective content that contributes to the promotion of high-quality research and ethical practices.
2. Preparation of the Manuscript
2.1. General Format
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- The font must be clear and legible in 12 point ARIAL font and spaced 1.5 throughout the manuscript.
- Margins should be set to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Each page should be numbered consecutively in the upper right hand corner, starting with the title page as page 1.
- It is mandatory to follow the APA style guidelines for headings, abbreviations, and other aspects of formatting.
2.2. Title Page
The title page must include:
- Title of the manuscript (in English and Spanish), with a brief updated professional review as a footer (maximum 120 words)
- Author names and affiliations.
- Contact information of the corresponding author.
2.3. Summary and Keywords
- Please provide an abstract in English and Spanish, not to exceed 140 words each.
- Include 3-7 keywords (in both languages) for easy indexing and searching.
2.4. Structure of the Manuscript
It is recommended to organize your manuscript as follows:
- Introduction
- Literature Review (if applicable)
- Methodology (if applicable)
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
2.5. Appointments and References
- Follow the APA citation style for in-text citations (Author(s) and year of publication).
- List all references in alphabetical order according to APA guidelines.
- Use the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) if it is available from online sources.
2.6. Tables and Figures
- Create tables and figures according to APA guidelines.
- Include clear captions and cite sources if necessary.
- Reference the tables and figures in the text.
3. Shipping Guidelines
- Submit your manuscript through our online submission system.
- Include all required documents: manuscript, title page, figures, tables, and any additional material.
- Make sure that your manuscript complies with the APA style guidelines, both in English and Spanish (if applicable).
4. Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts go through a rigorous peer review process.
- Authors will receive feedback and have the opportunity to make revisions.
- Decision categories include accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject.
5. Ethical Considerations
- Authors must comply with ethical guidelines, including anti-plagiarism and data manipulation policies specified on our web portal.
- All authors must disclose conflicts of interest.
- Appropriate ethical approval and informed consent must be obtained for research involving human subjects.
- Authors must have an ORCID number. If they do not have one, they must create it through our website before submitting their manuscript.
6. Copyright and Licenses
Authors retain copyright to their work in accordance with our Access policy (Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 user license), and grant International Political Magazine the right to publish and distribute the manuscript.
7. Authorship Contribution for Two or More Authors
Authors must specify their contributions to the preparation of the submitted articles. To do this, the Contributor Role Taxonomy (CRediT) criteria should be used. These roles can be consulted at the following link: https://credit.niso.org/
8. Publication and Promotion
Once accepted, the manuscripts are published on the website of our journal.
During this process, authors are invited to promote their published work through their personal networks and the official social networks of the Diplomatic Academy of Peru.
9. Publishing costs
• The International Political Magazine is fully accessible and free, it does not apply any type of economic costs, nor fees for publishing for the authors in the aforementioned magazine, nor in their processing.
• It is also free to distribute.
