Abstract

The article commemorates the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and Japan, exploring their historical evolution and prospects for the future. It begins by contextualizing this milestone in the political and social transformations in both countries in the 1870s. It highlights cultural cooperation, such as the Japanese archaeological mission in Peru and research on the Nazca Lines. Additionally, it emphasizes human mobility and the Nikkei community, as well as economic and trade relations and the strengthening of political dialogue. It concludes by underlining the willingness of both nations to pursue deeper and broader collaboration in the future.
