Abstract

Recently, data-dependent technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) have captured the interest of both economic powers and tech giants. However, developing countries face a significant initial challenge: the data gap. This disparity between available data in developing countries and advanced economies hinders their effective integration into the digital revolution.

The first section of this document examines the potential benefits of developing a national AI strategy and underscores the importance of having strong data policies as a fundamental foundation. The second section of the research focuses on assessing the existing infrastructure, educational initiatives, and relevant regulations in these countries, with the aim of creating a comprehensive framework that identifies key elements for success in AI implementation in developing contexts.
