Abstract

One of the most affected sectors during the COVID-19 pandemic has been the international trade in goods, due to the halt of production and transport at the main world markets. This article describes the current state of international trade at a global level, in Latin America, as well as in Peru. Thereafter, it identifies possible scenarios in trade following the pandemic, along with the flaws Peru will need to face. Finally, general recommendations for the participation of Peruvian foreign policy in the economic and commercial reactivation are proposed.
