Resumen

Recientemente las tecnologías dependientes de datos como la inteligencia artificial (IA) han capturado el interés de las potencias económicas y los gigantes tecnológicos. Sin embargo, los países en vías de desarrollo se enfrentan a un desafío inicial significativo: la brecha de datos. Esta disparidad entre los datos disponibles en países en desarrollo y las economías avanzadas dificulta su incorporación efectiva en la revolución digital.


La primera sección de este documento examina los beneficios potenciales de desarrollar una estrategia nacional de IA y destaca la importancia de contar con políticas de datos sólidas como base fundamental. La segunda parte de la investigación se enfoca en evaluar la infraestructura existente, las iniciativas educativas y la regulación pertinente en estos países, con el objetivo de crear un marco integral que identifique los elementos clave para el éxito en la implementación de la IA en contextos de desarrollo.
