La inteligencia artificial y su eventual uso en trámites consulares

El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el posible impacto de la inteligencia artificial en la gestión de algunas funciones consulares como son el registro de identidad, poderes y legalizaciones, y la emisión de documentos de viaje e identidad. En la primera parte, se describe el avance y roles de la inteligencia artificial. En la segunda parte, se hace un análisis sobre cómo la inteligencia artificial podría ser implementada para automatizar las referidas funciones consulares. En la tercera parte, se contrasta el uso de la inteligencia artificial, considerando aspectos éticos y de seguridad de la información que son realizados por un funcionario consular. La conclusión es que la inteligencia artificial no puede suplir la labor de un funcionario consular, pero su adecuado uso podría agilizar los trámites consulares, siempre bajo la supervisión humana.
